Privacy policy

LiftCert ("we") helps elevator and wheelchair-lift contractors keep certificate, test and violation records for the buildings they maintain. We don't sell your data and we don't show ads.

What we store

• Your account: your email address and a securely hashed password, handled by Amazon Cognito.
• Your company's records: company settings, team roles, buildings and their owner or property manager contact details, units (device IDs, certificate numbers and expiry dates, test due dates), test records, inspector violations (numbers, descriptions, correct-by dates, fines, status), links to test reports you paste in, and who recorded each action.
• Building contacts: the email addresses of property managers your company invites to see one building.
• Page-view analytics: the page visited, referring site, browser user agent, rough location when available, and a one-way hash of the IP address that changes daily. We never store the raw IP address.
• Feedback you send, with your email if you give it.
• Billing: Stripe processes payments. We store Stripe customer and subscription IDs and your plan, never your card number.

We do not store information about people who ride the elevators.

Cookies

We use first-party cookies to keep you signed in and random IDs to count visits and sessions. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Who processes your data

Amazon Web Services provides hosting, database, and sign-in; Stripe processes payments; and Resend sends transactional email. Each processes data only to provide its service to us.

How long we keep it

Your company's records stay until you delete them or ask us to close the account. Analytics are kept in aggregate form for as long as they remain useful.

Your choices

You can export buildings, units, tests and violations as CSV. To get a copy of everything, correct personal information, or delete your account and company data, use the feedback form or email hello@keeprow.com.
